Shop for America!

Every time you shop, think about how your shopping affects America.    If all of us were mindful shoppers,  America  would begin creating new jobs and regain a healthy economy.

Have you wondered why so many  products sold in America are made Overseas?  If you answered because it is much cheaper to manufacture items in China and other countries, you're right.  However,  it  all comes down to supply and demand.  And that is where you, the consumer, have the power to actually change this cycle.  As long as we continue to purchase a large majority of products from overseas Manufacturers...the demand will grow and our Country will continue outsourcing our our manufacturing to other countries.  The problem lies in how we spend our money.

We may find it difficult NOT to purchase foreign made items since they have become so inexpensive and plentiful. However, with new awareness, moreAmericans are now looking for more Made in America products and even willing to pay extra for items Made in the USA. The next time you shop, remember these important tips:
1. Shop for American Made Products whenever possible.
2. If you're in a store and don't know where the Made in America items are...ask to speak with a manager. The more people ask....the more likely the store will carry Made in America merchandise and display them properly.
3. Sign our website petition. It is requesting that store owners display their Made in America items in a special isle or location to make the merchandise more accessible and easier for shoppers to find.
4. You can email a similar request to your Store's Corporate Location. Send it to the General Managers as well as the Marketing and Public Relations Department.
5. Shop THRIFTY! Thrift shopping creates JOBS and helps our economy in a unique way. By shopping at thrift stores, consignment shops, used furniture stores, used car lots, thrift auctions and flea markets, etc., you ae putting 100 % of your shopping dollar into America's economy. Not only that, but it's an environmental lifesaver for our earth by reuseing many wonderful items that might have ended up in a landfill.
Many Americans grew up believing thrift stores were for poor people; but that's just not true. Many movie stars like Sandra Bullock shops and wears vintage clothing. Designers such as Nate Berkus goes Thrift Shopping when collecting home design items for the homes of wealthy clients.
Start Thrift Shopping FIRST when looking for any item and then stop back to the Thrift Stores regularly as inventory changes daily. Soon you'll find Trift Shopping to be your favorite way to shop and everytime you go, you'll be helping America!
