"One person can make a difference...and everyone should try"

During these economically difficult  times, Parents and Grandparents are rightfully concerned about their offspring's future.  With so few jobs available for young people,  I began to research when and why Americans had lost so many manufacturing jobs to other countries. I soon found that America's outsourcing was not a new phoenomona but had been in existance for many years prior to where we are now.  I knew our country had been losing more and more manufacturing through outsourcing, but was unaware of the depth or the  severity of the problem.  It was an undeniable conclusion that if America's manufacturing loss continued, it could create a job crisis so great it would result in even greater bankruptcies, forclosures and homelessness for our future generations.

My research went from interest to passion and so it continued.  Eventually I would spend hours looking for Made in America labels in every store I entered.  I was shocked to see most all items were made in another country.  Yes, mainly China but also many other countries.  And it seemed to escalate daily.  Not only clothes, toys, home goods but food, canned, packaged and fresh were being imported from other countries.  How could this outsourcing of our  livlihood happen right under our eyes?  How could  the average citizen do something to solve so great a problem in our country?

One of the obstacles is that Americans seem to believe that elected officials and community leaders are voted into office to solve our problems for us,  especially in finacially perilous times.  Not only is that an impossibility but it is also apathetic and dangerous. History has proven that.  The truth is, we need to  take responsibility for our own finances, our own families and  our own communities, People working together within a community have the power to change a country.  History has also proven that from generations past.

ABC World News with Dianne Sawyer, had launched the Made in America series and it opened many American eyes to the problem and citizens were becoming concerned about buying American Made Products. Soon website businesses were popping up to help people find products. I had so much information from researching, and support from others that I decided to start a website and a business that would help our country and our own community during these difficult times. I didn't want to have just another website business, sharing Made in America information and selling ads. I wanted to  work with and for communities, families, schools, businesses.

I have always believed a good plan is efficient , SIMPLE, and easy to understand.  Something that everyone can put into action.  I wanted to incorporate into ReBuy America a plan that would help communities by INFORMING, then MOTIVATING,  and finally PROVIDING community programs that would actually CREATE  jobs.

The plan could became a reality. I knew it! With a background in event planning, public relations, and marketing management,   I decided I needed to take the plunge.   So began ReBuy America.

The best thing about everything we do at ReBuy America is that we are not alone in our endeavors... because that is what Rebuy America is all about;  good people working along side of us, supporting our cause and sharing the rewards with us.  How great is that?

We hope you will take time to explore our site.  It will grow and change but one thing is for sure, it's purpose is to inform, teach, motivate and work with those who care about our country's future.  We hope you will join us in our efforts to bring Jobs and Manufacturing back to America.  Together we can do it!

For a stronger America,
